it was vice versa to my knowledge. The F1 still had a 530 chain and with the Paso they switched to the 520 which was then kept also on the SS & Monster.

Don´t take a 150 it`s too narrow and high. I didn´t have the chance to finish the bike yet so I didn`t order the tires yet.

Hallo,

Brauche dringend Hilfe.

Besten Dank im voraus.

Now its up to me to switch the tires to other dimensions, because the profile runs flat this summer.

Question: Does anybody have experience in riding the 130/70-16 and 180/60-16 Avon combination?

How about the spacers under the rear sprocket? Doesn´t this influence the lifetime of the bearing, of the front sprocket, the chain and the front sprocket itself massively (because the system is no longer in line!!)?
If anybody got the permission of the german TÜV, could he/she please send me a copy of the bikes certificate (Fahrzeugbrief mit Einträgen)? It would be very helpful - told me the TÜV engineer!
Thanx a lot!

Hello everyone

This is my first post in this forum. Klicking in right here as this seems to be the hottest subject at the current point in time when considering buying a 906 Paso...

I am a little confused about all the different tire dimesions which seem to have some future on the Paso's 16" wheels..

I once owned a 750 sport which also drives on the 16". There, the german guys had the certificate for the folowing dimensions: Front - 130/70 16" and rear 150/80 16". These two rubbers made quite some change (positiv) in the low speed handling, really.

Does anyone know whether these dimensions do fit on the Pasos as well? As I remember, the front wheel ended up with about 2cm more in diameter, the rear wheel with 4cm. The Swiss road department guys (like the TÜV in Germany) didn't care about anything concerning these dimesions.

I would be very happy for an answer, as I really want to get this 906 I discovered last week!

don`t compare Sport and Paso, the swingarms are totally different.
There`s minimal clearance when using a 150/80 as he tire is high. Some guys modified their swingarm to fit them. I personally wouldn`t use a 150/80 as the rim is too wide for this size and I`ve heard people say that`s it`s not a good ride when really leaning into curves. Of course there are others who say different.
I`m convinced that the combination 130/70 and 180/60-16 will become the standard replacement size for the Paso as long as there are no new original size tires on the market even if this needs some modifications.

hey guys!
I am also new on this site and I bought some months ago a nearly brand new Paso 906 (3.000 km on the clock - no rain - no dust - barely new) . Due to the fact that I am not that experienced in this TÜV Shit I would also need some support.
I'd like to put also the 130/70-16 and 160/70-16 on my bike, because my tires seem to be made of wood and the bike is unrideable. I would be very happy if any of you could sent me a copy of the "unbedenklichkeitsbescheinigung" for the Format or a copy of the "Fahrzeugbrief" with this changes? This would make me really happy.
Does anyone have experience with the 160/70-16 in the back? To I have to change anything on the bike? I don'T want to put a 180/60-16. I'd like to keep the bike as original as possible.

Thanks for you support.

the Metzeler ME1CompK is also out of production and the only tire that was 160/70. If you find one it`s old production.

Kann mir jemand was empfehlen?

Well! I looks like that I also have to change for 180/60-16. I'd like to keep the look original.
How does the technical authority react, if I remember well in Germany we can only use one brand on the tyres.
Any advice?

Thanks

Yesterday i got my target to drive my 906 and drove my first round testing. Runs like a Eggbox :?: Impossible!

(only interessting for german drivers... )

Thanks for your quick feedback!
Avon AV 45 or VP2 sports in the front and Cobra AV 72 in the back seems to be an appopriate solution. Does someone have experience with Bridgestone BT 16 F front and G 704 in the back? It'S just because I have no experience with AVON and very good one with Bridgestone.
