Hello Gentleman,

Could someone point me towards a downloadable parts micro fiche for the paso 750?
I had one on my old computer but for some reason it wasn't backed up to the new one and
most likely has disappeared forever.

BTW I'm looking for a new upper chain guide. It was replaced a year or two ago, shows no wear
and yet was rattiling around having broken off the mount before my last ride. I also need a left
hand front signal lense in good condition if anyone has one.

How do you guys measure your chain tension. Manual only mentions the appropriate slack (I recall 20mm) with both a rider and passenger. This adjustment would take 3 ppl to perform. What kind of slack do you guys run measured with an unloaded bike just balanced standing up under it's own weight?

Has anybody adjusted their rear sag? what are the measurments for static sag (bike under it's own weight) & race sag (bike loaded with rider)

Did the mikuni conversion but never got around to the vaccuum balance. Where does one hook up the vaccuum tubes? Couldn't find any ports other than those two little screws on the intake manifolds. Where do you find nipples to screw into those things if they are infact the correct ports. I plan on building a vaccuum balancer per Anetti's specs.

There is a parts manual in the downloads section of the site, just look around or in the 750 FAQ.

Can't help with the chain guide. The turn signal lens is available from your local dealer for $6.00 I just bought 5 of them recently.

I run with about 1" (25mm) in the center with 1 rider + gear aboard. I have one of my usually useless children help me with this :-)

Total sage should be about 35mm front and rear with rider + gear. It should be set on every bike. It's the only way to make sure the bike handles close to optimum.

Thos 2 little screws in the manifold are the spots to attach the vacuum guage. I have a Motion Pro Mercury Stick and it comes with 4 of the nipples. I think they are hard to find as just nipples. If you do a search, of this list there may be some info. I was told that the tips from a mig weldwer are the same and make good fittings. I don't know for sure tho...

If the chain is too tight when the engine is stopped and the bike on the centrestand, turn the rear wheel (gear neutral) and a knocking will be heard from the engine. This goes if the chain is slack enough. I aim for about 25mm slack measured midway.
My 906 has about 35mm static sag with one rider, rebound 10 clicks out (I have a 750 Paso rear shock).

Thank you both! That is much help! I'll reset the rider sag and give the chain a once over. The countershaft bearing disintegrated 300miles after I got the bike and I was forced to do an entire engine transplant. I was running with 1.5" of slack with the bike on it's side stand. Another lister suggested that it was too tight and that I cost myself a motor. Now I'm a little gunshy so to speak and wanted to make sure that wouldn't happen twice.

Mate,

I haven't done the Mikuni conversion yet but am currently planning it. I had the same question about the vacuum sensor hookup and had the same solution in mind. Got an affirmative from the board, see:

Hadn't followed up on getting the connectors to allow the hose hookup so thanks for getting that question posted! Note also that the scottoiler kits for Ducati Supersports has connection nipples to the Mikuni intake manifolds (the scottoiler uses the vacuum to turn the drip feed on when the bike starts) - maybe someone has some unused connectors if you get stuck sourcing the other ones?

Hey Mick,
I followed one of the links Jon provided for the ports and found some 5mm brass threaded sticks with rubber grommets. They are made for use with the motion pro vacuum balancer. They were less than $15 US shipped and will work nicely. If you have a drill press, which I do not I would just pick up some appropriate sized allen bolts and drill through them
