750 Paso tyres

Post by riascns »

I am thinking of buying a 750 paso. What is the deal with 16" wheels? Are 16" tyres now totally unobtainable and is a 17" conversion the only possibility?

Thanks

16" not anymore available.
17" conversion or fit 16" tires still available.

I am already in the troubled world! - I own a 907ie but would like a 750 also.

Actually they are not so troubled really, Easier in some ways to work on than a jap 4.

Main problem is ducati, whose dealers dont want to know when it comes to spares or servicing. Doesnt exactly encourage ownership of one of their newer products.

Has anyone tried 16.5 with race intermediates?

No, I meant swap to a 16.5 rim rather than 17.

Never said it would be an easier choice to go 16.5, but no more difficult than 17 in terms of fitment, and as they would be race wheels there would be a considerable weight saving.

As far as getting the wheels, ebay always have a few. Because they are race wheels then they are usually cheaper than 17", completed listing of £140 for 16.5 dymag rear with brake disk and tyre.

Tyres, Goldspeed in holland make a street legal 16.5 intermediate that is said to work very well on the road. Alternatively, £15 for a cut slick on ebay?
