Dear Erskine,

Losing someone close to you to something as random and unfair as a tumour is one of the hardest things. My condolences to you and I hope that time will take the edge off your loss.

It is good to see you back and I hope you will soon be in a position to have your Paso thundering again while you fly down the road.

Regards,

Mike

Thank you all.

I take it there has been no solution to the tyre problem. I've got a sharpish young bloke at a local shop working on it, and I'll report any progress.

if you mean a direct replacement, you`re right. But meanwhile a few alternative solutions are available and also have been done. But most either did their own conversion a few months ago and didn`t yet have a great chance to ride or they are still in phase of conversion so there aren`t many feedbacks about handling of different tires or tire size yet.

Well, the young bloke at one of the local shops, who seemed to know quite a bit about tyres, wasn't able to help. I'll talk to a few more people here during the next month or two.

In the meantime, I have to fix a broken starter clutch spring in my 750. I've been into that part of the motor before, but it was a long time ago. Any advice about the job would be most gratefully received.
