Radiator Mount cracked

Post by Colonial Boy »

While refitting the right side fairing I noticed a crack in the bracket between the radiator mount and the frame:

It is an aluminium bracket but welded nicely with the Tig.
I suggest you have a look at your radiator mounts next time you remove your fairings, or if you are paranoid the brackets are visible with just the scoop covers removed. Here it is repaired, repainted and refitted:

Now I have refitted the fairings, I realise both sides are visble through the vents without removing the covers

You bet'ca. Have done both of mine. Built it up a little thicker at the inside of the bend before grinding it down.
