Recently acquired a Paso

Post by egagnon3 »

Hi all,

I recently purchased a '87 750 Paso from a friend who was moving and couldn't take it with him. Anyway, I got a really good deal and have a little money to fix it up. It had a valve service last year, and me and him changed the oil, filter, and plugs last month. The problem I've had is trying to find a new front sprocket cover, my friend said it didn't have one when he got it, but it bugs me to death not to have a cover over the sprocket. Also, I've looked over some of the other posts about the tire problem and I definitively needs a new set. Otherwise, the bike runs great and rides like a dream. Anyone have any suggestions on touring tires. If anyone has a spare sprocket cover let me know, I'm in the market.

Hi,

it`ll help to add your location to the profile. The sprocket cover is the same as on early 600/750 Supersports ie http://cgi.ebay.com/DUCATI-750SS-FRONT- ... 2c53a62872
Not that difficult to find.
Don`t forget to change the belts depending on when that was done the last time.

So welcome!
Don't forget to change timig belts every second year (surely such work has been done with last valve gap adjusting) or the engine will not forgive you!
have a nice ride, Nicola
