Need Line on Part for an 88 Paso

I am in need of a clutch nut lock washer. This is the odd shaped piece of sheet metal with a "finger" that is bent to fit into a hole on the clutch center. Opposite this "finger" is a flat surface that is bent up to prevent the clutch nut from backing off.

Mine is cracked and I would like to get at least 1 replacement if not cost prohibitive.

Anyone know where I can find these.

Have you tried your nearest dealer yet? I've found that there are lots of parts used across multiple models and years and if not in stock, are easily obtained from the factory.

Does this piece sit in between the nut and the toothed clutch drum? If so, it looks like the OEM part number is 037716640, listed simply as a 'washer'.

That works great if you have a Ducati dealer who actually gives a shit. Yet to find one here in NZ who, if you are not buying a new 1098 or something similar, could care less about our old belt drives. And if you are looking for a part for anything older than '91................................ you'd get more help from the guy selling pies on the street corner. Like someone said elsewhere on this forum, Ducati Italy have decided anything older than '91 they have cast off, so dealers are following suit. We have to rely on specilists like BevelHeavan, Gowanloch etc.

In NZ I always used to have good luck with Andy at ABs Ducati in Nelson. Small outfit, but good guy for modifications. They race older belt drives. I'd ride down from New Plymouth occasionally (long bus home) or check in with him on the way south for a tour of the better island He's always been helpful with parts over the phone, well, once you know him and vice versa.

Also there is a Ducati dealer in Hamilton I would trust for parts order and servicing, but that's prob too far up the north island to visit? They were really good at recommending good alternatives to OEM, long wait parts e.g. SKF bearings and viton orings from trade suppliers that are virtually identical, tried and true.
