Since the tools are wrapped in a black nylon bag with a white "Ducati" written, I think he means to distinguish the bag and the tools.
As already stated, the tools are very, very poor :,( :,( :,( :,( :,( :,( :,( :,( :,(

There`s only one toolkit, the one under the seat. The other one would probably be the summary of all tools for maintainance which would be really expensive.

According to the parts catalogue this the tool kit you`re looking for.

Thanks Paso750

So the answer is - Yes I'm looking for the tools and the bag

Are you trying to tell me that the original part might still be available from the factory?

Well, that shop is apparently still selling it or at least listing it. A couple of years ago there was a stock clearout and Ducati sold a lot of their old stock which sometimes makes it a littler more difficult to find some parts but many are actually still available by Ducati themself so it`s worth to ask or contact shops and parts dealers as some bought large amounts at this clearout sale.

Rhino,

If you really, really, really want one of these plastic, japanese-like toolkits, give Ian Gowanloch a call. He has sooooo much stuff on his shelves, I serviously doubt you could look for a part he doesnt have.

I just bought a complete barrel kit (pistons, rings, barrels, gudgeons, clips), the whole kit and kaboodal from his for just under $4oo bucks. This considering a set of rings from the local dealer would go well over $600.

Ian now runs an ebay store out of Adelong...just down the road from me, and I am assured there enough parts there to keep early models bikes running into next century.

His number is (02) 69462626.

Cant hurt to give him a try....for your rice-burner tool kit.

Jaffa - I really really really NEED a 907 tool-kit and I mean BADLY

I'll call Ian as soon as it becomes civilised to do so - currently 7am here and the Wicked Witch of the North (Mother in Law) has just called and woken me and She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed (the Wife). God alone knows what she's doing up - moonshine's probably run out - she's calling from Tennessee! I think its about 2am in Tennessee and about 5pm (Sunday) in Oz. Here its time for the Sunday Times and coffee.

Actually - thinking about it - I may currently need a coffee more than a tool-kit.

Yeah - coffee

Hmmmmmmmmm

Thanks Jaffa

here`s what`s in it
http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2565
(That is says that 906 and 907ie toolkit are the same is incorrect. The one of the 906 comes ie with a big allen key for the chain adjuster which the 907ie doesn`t need due to the different swingarm)
Some of those cheap tools like the screwdriver or the pliers are used on other italian bikes like Guzzi or even Vespas.

I met Steve last year at an event in New Jersey; TT2 and F1 gathering. I was the ony one to ride my fugly F1 to the event. He has TONS of NOS stuff but his prices and reserves are usually way to high for my budget.
