My top mount, the "ears", for my frame mount of rear shock is a little loose,
around 0.35 mm. If you lift under the wheel to check f freeplay,
(as Swedish MOT test does....), it feels like 2 mm.
Any idea how to fix this?
Weldable at all?
Any suggestions?

Gert, is it broken (what would you weld)...or does the suspension linkage have worn parts (bush/bearing)
is the 2 mm play measured at the shock or at the rear wheel...2mm is not much if at the rear wheel

Re: Any suggestions?
The ears on frame where the top bolt is mounted are worn.
Doesn`t bother me or compromise driving,
main problemo actually MOT inspection.
+ it would be nice to fix it, if doable.

2mm play at the wheel is barely nothing, it is very unlibely you will be in position to take that to zero, too many bearings, linkages, plus the length of the swining arm; 0.1mm at the top become 2-3mm at the bottom.
would be quite different if you had 10mm play.

Re: Any suggestions?
I would say too a 2 mm. play is not a problem.
Are you sure that when you'll do the MOT inspection will there be some problem?
Ciao

Re: Any suggestions?
The "extreme solution" is to drill one of the two ears and build a special bolt with different size related to the two ears.
Anyhow, a .35 mm freeplay should not be your matter, expecially if the bolt is correctly tighten.
Have a nice job and...
