Hi pals,
After 6 and a half years abandoned at the bottom of my garage, las summer I decided to take my good old Paso on the road again.
I started an ordinary revision but I found that there was oil into de combustion chambers. After looking for the right parts here and there I was finally able to rebuild to new the whole upper end of my engine (heads, valves, segments, cilynders....
Saturday it started fine but the fuel tap leaked and I repaired it with the right O-rings.
But today I started it again..... at first it worked fine but after a few minutes problems started... as far as I've been able to see, my weber leaks fuel into the engine (just through the right barrel) and floods everything. Last time I use my Paso, the carb worked quite right, so...
What might be the problem? Any ideas? Float problem? over pressure from pump?
When I turn the ignition key to "on" I hear a bubbling sound of fuel leaking into the carb. After removing ths spark plugs I checked they were very wet and there were lots of fuel into the cilynders (I pumped it out usin the starter)
Thank you in advance for your help, I'm quite a confident mechanic but I have very little knowledge of Webers.

Re: Weber carb leaks LOTS of fuel
did you rebuild and clean the Weber ? You may have dirt deposits in the float chamber from when the fuel evaporated over time. I guess the float valve isn`t closing properly.

As G suggested, clean out your float bowl replace the needle and seat and top gasket. Better yet get your self some carb cleaner and clean out everything and replace all those o-rings and don't forget to change the oil
rebuild kits are cheap. If you have time they are extra cheap from Alfa1750's ebay store
Regardless of where you hail from

There's no problem so bad that a little fixing can't make it worse! : )

Guess what? After a whole night of sleep, I've wokwn up and I've arrived at the same conclusion: It must be the float needle valve which leaks fuel.
It happened with the fuel tap too, so I think it's normal after 6+ years.....
Thank you!!!!

Thank you both, guys. I did as you said and the bike runs now perfectly. Well, I've performed no road test but everything else seems in good condition.
After 6,5 years and a engine upper section bebuild, she has started perfectly and turns smoothly.
Next week I'l get her insuranced and on the road again!!!!!!

Sure I did Nicola!!!! (But thank you anyway!)
As I told before, I'm quite a competent mechanic. I leave you a sample of my work published on internet for the maintenance of a Ducati... It's in spanish but the pictures are nice and you, being italian, can understand it more or less.
