No, new job next week - I've been trying to hand over stuff in my current job for the last 6 weeks but no one wants to listen so I've got to the point where any thoughts of dilligence etc have gone right out the window.
I have brought the proverbial horse to water, I have stuck its head under, I have even hosed it down yet it still refuses to drink......... so until 5 o'clock on Friday I will reclaim the hours I have lost to the business by nobbing around on the internet until Friday at 5pm, then I will kick the horse squarely in the nuts on my way out of the door !

Graemer57 - I "know" the Blue 750.

It was at the Staffordshire auction of Bonhams on Sunday 17 October 2010 (catalogue on line at Bonhams web site http://www.bonhams.com/eur/auction/18294/ you want lot 363) where I bought my Paso (lot 348).

In addition - when I took my bike to a bike dealer in (the Middle of Nowhere - his actual address!!!) in West Wales - Lamo's - the 750 was there. So I have seen it and the guy I know and trust to work on my Paso has spent a great deal of time - and more importantly - someone-else's money, recommisioning it.

The bike is in very good nick cosmetically and mechanically. I HAVE NOT checked mileage, MOTs, ridden it etc.

Don't worry about 16" tyres - that's solved on this forum - there are lots of solutions. The 907ie is a cracker and all Paso problems were solved by Ducati by then - but the 750 (I had one from new) is a cracking bike. I never had a moments problems with mine - bought new from Garlands in West Wales. It handles like a dream - just drops into corners and is - in my opinion - amply powered. (It also looks good in blue actually)

I'm going to be in West Wales 22nd April - 02 May so if you want me to drop by Lamos (I will be anyway) to pick his brains and relay the contents to you I'll be only too happy to do so. If you want me to go see the bike - it's only around the corner from my place in Wales - I will. If you decide to go see, and test, then let me know and I'll get down there so you'll have somewhere to get coffee/food/beer/a bed for the night (I have garages too)

Let me know

(Bet you're glad you joined this forum!!)

And lets be honest you can always get a nice Blue one and then find another nice red one as after all you can see from the prices that they are an appreciating classic now

On a serious note about 7 years ago I was offerd an 851 for about £2500 and I didn't take it as it just didn't fit in with life at the time.
I've just seen that it sold recently for £7500 with no more work done to it !
I'm not saying a Paso will do that but they are on the upward part of the curve at the moment !

Funny you should ask that . . .

Actually I don't know BUT (of course) I did message him via e-bay as to the toolkit (or lack thereof) and I did invite him over to my place in West Wales this coming "week" 22nd - 02nd.

No reply thus far.

Of that crowd I'd run from the 906s and I really like the blue 750 but

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1991-DUCATI-750-P ... 099wt_1140

looks good and POSSIBLY cheap.

A good way to get the price down is to ask them to confirm that the bike does still have its factory toolkit - none of them do, and they are impossible to replace (I should know I've been looking long enough).

Good luck - let me know if I can help with the Blue 750 and keep us all informed as to what you finally do.

Judging from the sound of distant laughter I assume you've all seen this:-

Now I have to say I am seriously tempted by that when he puts a realistic price on it
I narrowly missed out on an Elefant 750 a few years back (again due to life) with 15K miles on for£1200
I have always wanted one and I fear its an itch I will have to scratch one day

OR THIS . . . .

only two hours left sadly but - I suspect - there's probably yet another unrealistically high reserve
