front break pressure switch replacement.

Post by Bluestratos »

Hi Fellow Paso-ists,
I have been falling in love with my Paso over summer, had a lovely ride around the Isle Of Wight with a friend when the weather was a little more favourable.

Im keen to do some more rides on it, my MOT is up and the pressure switch on the front breaks has given up the ghost, so it failed on a faulty break light. A Ducati mechanic I know suggested putting an after market one on up at the handle bar end, but I'm not so keen to ruin the looks of it.

My question is to you knowledgeable bunch, does anyone know where these switches are available? Or is there a part that is equivalent that I can use, maybe Fiat or something similar. (it's the switch that is just above the front mud guard). Id love to get it back on the road as soon as possible.

Id appreciate your opinion.

Best
Jeff

Take the part to wherever you would take your car to get its brakes fixed , DONT let on that its off an Itallian motorbike
,as long as the thread is the same size and length. :)

Jeff,

The pressure switch should still be available from your Ducati dealer. I replaced one a year or so ago for my MOT/WOF.
Cheers,
Fraser.

Thanks for the advice, I'll call around and see if I can find one. It's good to know that there is a chance of them being out there.

Cheers!

Jeff, just a month ago I had that switch replaced. The original part was available and shipped from Ducati. Good Luck with your parts guy. :phone:
