Paso pronunciation

Post by chasaduc »

How do you say Paso?

In my search I found that this is interresting reading. http://www.theitalianproject.com/italia ... -2008.html
Hit ctrl and then hit the F key and type Paso.

it just goes to show I seem to be the last one on the face of the earth to upgrade from a weber carb. Believe it or not bigfoot told me to do it. You cant argue with him can you?

if you need a weber carb let me know. It's for sale.

And which one is the proper way?

Poursh? or? poursh uh? or even "poursh ure"

Audi?

Awe dee, out dee, aut ee?

I wont go there with in the rediculousness of spices and herbs and flowers and how they come up with a new way to say it every week. Even in one country.

I was thinking paso. as in a as pronounced in apple. The "so" as is in the word so. like when you say "so?" but without the question.

Just wondered since I have heard several different ways it's pronounced and it is italian and used their verbal sense.

So it's not like the mexican currency. "pay so"
It's not "pu sow"
It really is like it's spelled "paso"

If I can remember correctly, a few years ago I ran into a guy from Tuscany and he said that, depending on what region the person would be from, that is was pronounced either "pah-soh" or "pah-zoh". He said it would be similar to the difference between the North and the South int eh USA with such words and roof and pecan.

Then again, the guy could have been giving me a line of BS.

I think its A as in apple, since it was named after Pasolini.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renzo_Pasolini

How does the Italian Director Pasolini pronounce his name?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pier_Paolo_Pasolini

Certainly not like the Mexican money, peso.
