Repair or modifications on clock and fuel indicator 907 ie

Post by Ducolaf »

As I noticed driving the 907, the clock was broken. Any idea on what it could be and how to repair the clock? Seems to be a common problem and I would like to have it working again. Electronics is my old profession. Or can the clock be refitted with an other driver?

Other mod is the fuel level indicator in the dash. It swings with like mad on the fuel movement in the tank. Is there a trick to have this giving a more stable reading? Is there some bending possible on the floater? Lucky my 900 SSC only has a lamp for low fuel indication . . . ;-)

Must (have been) be other people working on these two items than me for the last 20 years I guess . . . .

clock fixes can be found in the 750 FAQ

It usually involves replacing a resistor and some circuit cleaning

cleaning the fuel sender helps, but most often it takes a rewire of the sender and adding a damper

Thanks, have found the information in old discussions. Seems the damping of teh fuel indiocator on the 907 is much better than on the carb versions. . . .

Clock issue has been found as well. . . .

Knew I wasn't the only one here that would have that fixed . . .
