You guys rock!!!

Post by Turin »

I bought my 750 limited early in july. She sat idle for about 9 years. Thanks to you all, i got to really ride her tonight and coldn't be happier.Mods done so far... Jayh's jetting suggestions .I'll grind on the pump cam soon. Fuel pressure regulator and gross jet... thank you Higgy. Starcycle halfrings, well worth it. Pushes the rear tire out a bit, but looks tuff, and the bike handles like it's on rails only one link extra needed. That all is working with avon ST's rear and a venom front (due to my riding style I like a hard rear and a soft front) 15 front tooth front, 41 back. Green Dyna coils...can't hurt. My bro who did the finall tuning on my paso built this monster http://www.tomsitaliantuneandservice.co ... 07-010.jpghttp://www.tomsitaliantuneandservice.co ... 07-016.jpg

That 851 would be even better if it had a rear brake

Just a minor oversight G. Brakes are a minor issue anyway, I normally focus on how fast I can twist the throttle. :choo:

Turin,

I would really like to know how you managed to buy the Star Twin "half-rings", and what you paid for them. I can't even find them on their web site!

It was a pain in the keister, but they will e-mail you back in english. I think it was something like $250.00 for the set. I really like the handling with this tire set up, And maybe the halfrings help. If you buy a set, let me know... I had to buy the longer bolts from MC master carr, and they came in a set of ten.

$250 was that with shipping ? I`m just wondering as they advertised them for €99 once and that´s $145. Shipping would be something around €17-35 ($25-50).
The halfrings may influence the handling a bit as wheel base is minimally longer and the steering angle becomes a little steeper as the rear is lifted which should make handling quicker. this combines with the effect of the new tire (size).

Joking
These are the half rings. They are spacers for the chain adjusters that, when installed, create more space to fit a larger tire. More information here:
