Homologation tyres in Italy

I recently asked to approve the tires in Italy (130 70 16-150 80 16)
to be in compliance with the law, outlining the measures on the registration document.

They asked me 1600 Euro

What do you thin about ?

but I don't want to drive with vintage tyres too

But I think it's lot of money

did you try to contact Ducati directly ? I wonder if they can issue a document of compliance in italian. There are two for the german market.

I contact Ducati Italy a lot of time and I write them directly
but they don't release nothing.

In Italy it is a great matter (I'm not the only one that have try to contact Ducati)

I know about german declaration and I give it a copy to all my contacts...

So after 3 years of contacts with Ducati / Tuv Italy / Metzeler / Avon / Dekra etc...

I try to do it without Ducati permission with a vintage motor specialist.
and the cost is that.

In Italy the police may seize the vehicle
and insurance does not cover any damage

Moreover, every two years we have to do the review of the vehicle
and must have the tires mounted as indicated on the registration document

This is the risk (Everyone is free to take it)

Ducati has built the vehicle in Italy, but now let us Italian customers in the shit

From what I know of the situation, if Greece defaults it will lead to world wide depression. Germany alone can't prop up the EU and if I understand it correctly Greece ships the world. These shipping companies are a key factor in the 1200 International companies that control 40% of the worlds money.

The situation in northern Italy is not so bad and for me it is not an economic problem to spend 1600 euros, only that I think is a steal.

I hope that other Italians have made estimates and can give me some suggestions

If you plan to restore the economy with the thefts, well .....
better that we fail everyone and starting over

The real problem in Italy and Greece, is that budget shortfalls of the big companies want to charge them to the poor martyrs

It's not so.
The Italy's problem is the national debit that's too high.
Really, it is not higher than the USA and Greece one (proportionally to the size of respective economies, because the amount of the debit is measured in comparison with the size of the economy).
At this moment, and from some time, the Italy's debit is under speculative attacks, so there are many sales of Italy's treasury bonds.
In fact, many people is "betting" about a default of the Italian economy.
When a such thing happens, the gain of the treasury bonds grows up, exactly as the risk of any bet.
When you bet on a horse or on a football team, your gain is inversely proportional to the strength of the horse or the team.
So, if your team (or your horse) is weak, the gain is higher in case of win.
The gain of Italian bonds is growing up because of that attack.
Really, a such thing is happening only from 6 months, not more, when the Italian economy was the same...
The growing of bonds' gain means Italy will have to refund more interests on the bonds.
The risk is Italy could'nt afford that refund if the interests grow too much.

The same debit crisis is in Greece and in USA.
So, nobody thinks USA can really default because its huge economy, even if last summer there was a big problem in USA, too.
Many people thinks Greece can default because of its weak economy.
The Greece can't find the money to refund the treasury bonds without international loans (which need to be refunded, too).
So, someone told Greece needs to sell the Parthenon etc.
For sure, Italy is not strong like USA, but not weak as Greece.
Italy is the 7° or 8° economy in the world, we have industry and commerce, so there will be enough money for the refunds.

Have you been writing to anyone in particular?? I can send some emails to Ducati about this and see what I get.

I'm in the USA so I don't know excatly what kind of inspection you have in Italy. What is this inspection called??
