I'm rebuilding the DCNF. Attached is a picture of the gasket that came with the kit and it looks just like the one I took off. But, is it OK for the gasket to block off the holes circled in red in the second image?

Re: Carb rebuild question
The gasket doesn't actually block the holes - they are transfer holes, with a channel between them that is cut into the body of the carb. With the gasket in place, there is clearance for air (or air/fuel mixture, I forget the actual flow of the enrichment circuit) to transfer between each set of the two holes.

Re: Carb rebuild question
Thanks for the reply. I noticed that there were matching passages in the casting of the top of the carb and wasn't sure how much volume was needed for the clearance.
