Take Care out there.

Post by nickta »

Hi All.

Was a witness in a Car vs Motorbike accident yesterday. Pretty much a car did a right hand turn in front of a BMW R1150GS. To make matters worse, the car was making an illegal turn at a signed No Right Turn intersection. Bike hit about the front wheel of the car, Bike stopped, rider went over the bonnet, hitting the windscreen in the process. Rider was able to pick himself up and was helped over to a seat by the side of the road. A few scratches and abrasions, but went off to the local hospital for observation. Bike front end snapped off and pretty much bike is knackered.

Thought I would put this out there, as we all need to stay aware it can happen at any time and any place. Good safety equipment saved a lot of pain for this bloke. Keep on riding, but keep safe too!

Thanks for reading.

Cheers.

Lots of bikes getting around this wide brown land these days.....looking for that adventure ride.

We all need to be more vigilant these days, I truly think the standard of drivers is becoming lower and lower each year.

Stay safe.
