Hello Jimmy. Welcome from Essex. Well done on a good buy. 907's seem to be making around 2k in UK lately and yours has low miles and ready to go. Where are you?
Cheers, Keith.

Hi Fellas

Thanks for the welcome, was gong to wait until I have picked it up until I get too excited!
The prices are climbing on these bikes, they have hit rock bottom & bouncing back up so I needed to get a good low mileage one to ride before some collector bags it and puts it in a case.

I am fully aware it is a bit of a punt as it has been stood for a while but I am well used to early 90's Ducatis by now; I have always loved these bikes & wanted a sporty mile muncher that can also carry 2 but don't like the looks of the ST series bikes.

I plan to clean it up & take it to Bologna in the next couple of years, so luggage needed and I love the look of those corsa contis... are they unobtanium??

Oh and I live in the English Riviera 8) Ha!

Cheers

Jimmy

Cans are always a challenge but needn't be that much of a challenge.
They come up on ebay occaisonally along with chips etc.

The good thing about the revival in 90's bikes is that there are now a load of specialists who are interested in doing one off bits and pieces. Gibson exhausts being one !

I'm trying to sort out the coolant hoses for the 907 because I just can't really find a bike I like much more than my 907 - it just does everything for me with more fun and charisma than most of the modern stuff. I'll never ride it every day like I do my BMWs but I still don't want to part with it.

Took mine to Bologna in 2006 and its a great bike for that sort of trip.

All I would say is stick with the 170 size rear tire its dog slow to turn with a 180

Gutted...

Went to pick it up.

Hole blowing in the exhaust, Pitted forks & what looks like bodged original front rotors with solid bobbins in them which funnily enough were features not described in the listing all along with general paint untidiness, this is more like a barn find TBH

I was happy to take a punt with a very reasonable £250 off the price but he wasn't having it, tied in with no proof of maintenance of any kind I think I may have had a lucky escape!

hopefully when it is re listed someone will see this thread first.. be warned

will keep looking for the right one

Did you make the three bids?

It will probably be offered to the next highest bidder if not ?

If they are not that savvy as you it will be sold

Interesting thing though it had a twelve month MOT which it "flew through" ?? :!:

I always like to read the sellers feedback history before I bid and as it seems this one deals in a lot of second hand boat related products and associated 4x4 motors, this bike was probably seen and found at the back of a boat shed...?

Regarding the paintwork I think you may find it hard to get a Paso 907ie with perfect panels as even the very best appear to of had a bit of repair work or cracks from flexing panels.

Good luck in your hunt and keep checking on here as they sometimes appear in our for sale thread before going on to ebay.

yep, I saw his feedback so thought I would be ok,

I don't mind paint as that is what I do, I do however not like to be lied to hoping I wouldn't notice. To replace the front brake rotors, repair the exhaust blowing & dents plus re chroming the front forks puts the total bill well into "looked after properly" bike territory with a service history.
