Rhino,

You should give this one serious consideration. Certainly not original, but plenty of sensible, usable modifications. Plus, maintenance is very simple, valve clearances are a very quick job as it has valve springs and not desmo.
Cheers,
Fraser.

I had one of those in 1980. My first Ducati after mainly British bikes, T140, T160, Velocettes etc. I was in my mid 20's and I loved that bike. I had a serious accident on it(smidsy) and sold it to a friend for £350 who classic raced it. I drool over them every time I see one. Best looking bike to come out of Bologna imho.

Its the actual rod ( across top in 1st pic )..... stood up to get another beer an it just broke ... metal fatigue . That mess above the screws is supposed to be a 100mm bone graft ...but it didn't and eventually the rod flexed one time to many..... went down in a heap too but I did have that beer before we left for the hospital

With the hole drilled through the rod to take the screw there's not much metal left to support anything!
