Quick release Fuel Connections.

Post by nickta »

Hi Guys.

Has anyone fitted quick release fuel fittings to the fuel lines of the 907? A couple of inline units for each line and it would be a snap to remove the tank. Could also match up the slightly smaller fuel connections on the tank to those on the injector rail/regulator. Only reason I ask, is B2 has them as standard, but they are plastic, so once I looked at them twice, they fell to bits. I'm in the process of finding brass fittings to replace the plastic. Thought it might be useful on the 907, if you remove the fuel tank often?!?!

Cheers.

Nick.

Replaced the plastic ones on my BMW with stainless, makes taking the tank off a piece of piss. If you go that way it helps to alternate the position of the male and female fittings on the hoses, that way you can't mix them up when reconnecting. Just make sure you have some spare O rings for the connectors.

I've used them on the 888 racer from my friend. they work well.
the ones we used were made by CPC. their body's are made from POM and had 8 mm connections. the only thing was we had to chance the o-ring inside, because these were not gas-proof.
