paso ohlins shock
Hi, having never seen a early 87 paso with the ohlins shock did it have a separate reservoir and adjuster with it or was it all just self contained? Don't most NOS shocks that have been laying around for decades have to be rebuilt anyway? Thanks Arch.
Re: paso ohlins shock
Hi,
The Öhlins shock is a emulsion shock, which means it has no separate container (piggybag).
However it does have a hydraulic spring tensioner but that has nothing to do with the damping.
I have bought myself an old Öhlins and although it looks good I will send it to get it completely overhauled.
I specialist once told me shocks need to be serviced every 25.000 km or once every 5 years (ideally).
I have a picture of mine but still have to find out how to upload pics.
Hope this helps you!
