Parting out my '88 Paso

Post by jay »

I just decided to part out my '88 Paso. I bought this particular bike to rebuild/restore. Since i have no time to invest in it, i figured to part it out.

This paso has only 8800 miles on it. Clean title. All original. The last time it was on the road was in '96. It's in decent shape, just was neglected during storage. Some oxidation on aluminum pieces. The fairings are in good shape. Some pieces have minor cracks, nothing major. I fired it up today (for someone who interested in the motor) and all the electronics still work.

Anyway, i thought to list it here before i start auctioning parts on ebay. Maybe this bike can help some of you guys finish your project pasos. If anyone wants pics of any parts, let me know.

Also, i have a couple of front turn signal lenses that are brand new (still in the boxes) if anyone is interested...............

I'm interested in the exhaust cans - even if they're stock. I don't need the headers or cross-over, just the 'slip-ons'. I still have the stock ones, which are fine, but I'd like to see about modifying a pair to be a little less restrictive. If they're not stock, that's fine, too. ;) Also - what kind of carb do you have on there? Stock Weber DCNF 44? If it's something else (Mikunis?) and you're willing to part with that separate from the engine, I'm interested in that as well. If it's not a Weber but you don't want to let the engine go without a carb, I have a 2nd stock Weber I'd trade you.

What are you looking for, for either of those items? PM or email me if you like.

Are you dead-set on parting out the bike, or would you consider selling it whole?

Also - I know someone else who might be interested in the motor too if the first guy doesn't pan out. I'll point this thread out to them ...

Jay, where are you based?.... we have Paso owners from all over the place looking and selling and quite frankly the postage can make or break a deal sometimes.

Jay,

I would be keen to take the right hand mirror/indicator assembly. Please advise cost and would you be willing to wrap and post it to New Zealand? Thanks.

Fraser.

I do have the stock cans. The carb is a weber. I would have sold it whole, but i already removed the motor. The person who wants the motor is coming tonight for it. Send me your email address and i'll email you pics of parts.

Hey chris,
I was just told that this paso is an early '88. I guess it has the '87 paso front brake set-up. The rotors are not floaters.

Also, I would prefer to sell the fairings as a complete set. thanks.........

Check your PMs - I'll pass on the Weber though. Two is enough for now ... ;)

Hey Jay. How are the wheels. I might be interested in both wheels if they are stock and without any blemishes or bangs.
