Antti,
the most important thing is that we can understand us...
I'm also trying to write in English in spite of I've started to learn it only the last year, after my company has made an English course for the employees.
I also don't understand the USA guys and sometimes it seems to me that the USA guys talk between them, and the rest of the world guys between them.
No matter, at least we have the same passion    !!!!!
Ciao

As an ex-English teacher in Europe, I've heard the problem you guys speak of mentioned before. But ususally there's no problem.

The thing is, they are the biggest single group of English-speakers in the world, so naturally they are making their own style.

But I don't think this is a real problem. At least no-one's talkling like a rapper!

A 'rapper' is a kind of pop singer, like Eminem.

Hi,

At least writing in English means there are no accents to worry about. That can make 2 English speaking people not understand each other.
When we lived in Finland my wife had many problems due to her nice Kiwi accent, as Finnish with a NZ accent was just a bit unusual, for example; when in a shop she would ask for something (in Finnish) and often the assistant would then look at me and say very slowly "can-you-speak-English?" Sometimes when she repeated the request in English we would then get the same response.
The best place for communication was in the sandpit with the children, you could learn many essential words quickly.

Fraser.

We don't have or need an official language here in the 750 forum. As a community of Paso owners, we are here to be with other Paso-istas and to offer any and all assistance. Posts in other languages are fine, it just cuts down on the input that the group as a whole can have.

This isn't the first post in Spanish and a member (Skins) usually translates so that we can all get involved. We are a global list that just happens to use english "most" of the time. If other languages show up then I'm sure we'll figure it out.

Its all good as long as (as Jon says) someone can translate and get everyone involved.

In the time that I've been watching the forum (long time member of the group not the forum) There hasn't been anyone on here speaking "ancient erdu" or anything like that which would probably get most of us "stumped".
Its a necessary thing for a bike like the paso that wasn't at all popular in the UK to be a bit "multicultural" when you look for information.

I wonder why in this thread also, we have started to talk about a thing but now we're talking about another thing.
It seems to me it is often happening...
Does someone is skilled about communication?

Antti,
I also would meet you gladly.

Ciao
