clutch and hello!

Post by desmodave »

hi out there ive followed this site for two years now. ive just got on the net ive enjoyed the bike while it went, but the inevitable problems
with an old machine of this type had to happen and cause me much stress. I got my bike for £1,300 a bargain after my previous one was nicked in skegness. the first problem to arise was the electrics your site confused me there but i sorted it out in the end.My big problem is the clutch now its been off road all last winter. The pressure plate pin broke and so removed the plate set wich isn't the same as the one on your site oh yes my model is 1989 750. can any one tell me what the clutch control pin is as they sent me this with the pressure plate i dont think its for the paso tried my manual haynes ss manual no microfiche at my local ducati store wich is shipley north yorkshire.cheers lads nice to follow your antics desmodave.

Dave,

I guess you`re referring to the "mushroom" :)
In the engine cover there`s the clutch slave piston. At it`s end there`s a bearing and so the bearing won`t directly touch the pressure plate there the pin.
Check the parts catalogue TAV.10 part 38. Is that what you`re meaning ?
