Paso Electronic Ignition

Post by Dean »

I am trying to get a 750 Paso running that has been sitting for many years. I don't have any spark and suspect the electronic ignition modules. Does anybody have a suggestion for testing the function of these modules that does not require a scope?

have you tested the basics ie the spark plugs, the leads for corrosion , the voltage at the coils , the fuel delivery , the earth for corrosion, the fuses , and the pick ups

you can have a look to workshop manual for ignition coils testing...
an ignition module failure is quite unusual and this spare part is no more available on ducati original spare list (no more carb engines! :ugh: ) however you might go searching for ducati perforance cdi with sa step one or two upgrade
have a nice ride, Nicola

Thanks to all that replied. I think I may have assumed the coils are OK because they checked fine with my ohm meter. I am now looking to do a better test on the coils.
