... wondering, HOW the hell can oil cooler be clogged??? Anyway, i think, 750 Paso oil coolers dont have such "valve system",that only onther one is function and then another also, when temp is goin up... I think, holes are open all time to both coolers... MUST be!

He said he plugged one, not that it was clogged. Antti, I agree, the article I read was the first I heard about one of the coolers supposedly being thermostatically controlled. If I run across it again I'll post which article it was in.

For the record, I don't see any part in the microfiche that would do this.

When I get home, I'm going to test this with a Raytek and see if one cooler gets hot any sooner than the other one, because it had me scratching my head too!

Hi all i have blown 10bars air by the place of the oil valve. the plug must be now in the bottom of the crankcase. Sealant piece  ??pressure remains now below 5 bars! And the idle which had fallen to 800 rpm is now at 1300 rpm. Power (lost) = flow X pressure.
I think that the plug was on the comeback from the front head because the rubber O-ring just above the exhaust pipe had a leak. The smelt of the oil dropping on the pipe alerted me... I don't understand how this 7 or 8mm hole can have been plugged. Ihave remove the head and the cylinder and changed the aluminium gasket (which was in the good position :D ) and the rubber rings.
I have still just one oil cooler in use , the temperature stays under 140°f . Here in Brittanny we have an irish weather!
I believe the girl begins to be reliable: Mikunis Jon mods -a little different, because I have the digiplex system-, new bearings (steering, wheels, starter etc...)
I have repaired the fairings -a lot of work- new paint:
Alain.
