About mounting chips,
got my info that fitting them wrong way doesn´t hurt fr another Forum.
PM`d the guy who dunnit, answer:

No I did not ruin the chip at all. Flipped the chip around and the bike started right up. The bike now has 2000mi on it and ready for a going over.

I still have the faulty chip sitting on my desk.
...if that is the case then it must of been faulty before I got it
Gert...I wouldnt waste my time in programming a new chip with your gizmo thing...just buy one, someone must of spent countless hours in programming this one

I don`t have any chip gizmo thingy, I have a MyECU, can reprogram every day if I want to.

...nice gadget there Gert, must be an improvement over the original setup
I went for a longer ride yesterday, and must say the bike goes very well...surprisingly well actually, when compared to my old FIM chip...and I could not justify spending more cash...anything better would just be a waste, purely based on my riding ability

I went for a ride into the city today (31/Jan) and the bike handled the traffic very well, no more hiccups at low revs, the bike is more predictable.

On my 907 I earlier this year gave up a bit on the mini MyP8 as I could not get it to run properly. Have an LC-1 O-2 sensor and plan to get the Optimizer over Winter and give it another try. I think mainly my ignition table was wrong, and I tried many.

In the meantime I have borrowed a USBIII Power Commander and wonder if any of you have a proper working map for it?

I have used it with both my FIM chip and with the original 023 lately using the LC-1 to indicate a direction, but have not had on a dyno which seem to be the way to go.

Just an update:
Well, Gert was very nice to offer to give my MyP8 a try on his 907, but Winter cam, but when the snow was melted he gave it a try - thank you Gert for your effort.
He found the same hesitation and "running hard" that I did, not really worth a ride.

Then, wrote Cliff who came back straight away and asked my to switch the dipswitch no. 3 to ON.

Suddenly it all worked - jubiii. It starts and idel well. Pulls quite hard, definitely more than with the P7 and std. chip, and feels more than with the FIM chip used previously. Some hesitation between 3K and 4K. Little erratic in other areas, but absolutely rideable. I have been riding with it for a week trying little by little to change the places in the current map that I feel and see having a guage and LC-1 O2 sensor system installed.
Will try other maps and compare which areas work on one and not the other as soon as time allows.

Catching up on this old thread. I acquired a eprom UV eraser and burner with software. I'm trying to get it hooked up so I can try and copy the US chip, euro chip, and a FBF chip. It is somewhat of an antique and the OS is DOS..LOL

I also have a monitor/tune system that works on my 02 MS4 and it will observe a few things on the P7 but I guess it only tunes on the P8.

Trying to get my 907 back on road duty for this season.
