Do ST2 heads fit on a 907 engine?

Surely they fit very easily, no anykind troubles.... And they are much better quality, than original 907 heads.... If You find such "cheaply", buy them immediatelly. Most of performance come from ST2 cams!!!!

I bought a ST2 engine to build in my 907.
payed just € 400 for it. This is cheaper as a set of drop-in pistons and cams.
The ST2 is probably the best single spark engine.
casings ST2 are same as the 907.
problem is the electronics.
talked about this with my dealer.
I will change the wiring partly to use a newer 900SSie M16 computer, which has a programmable Eprom and use the only sensor as mouted in the ST2.

400€ was good deal, if it was running engine.

You have to modifie electrics alot, cause ST2 have only one pick up and P7 have 2. That is not only thing, but anyway i wish good luck to You.

I spotted the engine on Ebay during my holyday in the USA.
The company I work for has also a unit in the States. Sometimes we receive return-shipments from them. on one of these shipments my engine will come to the Netherlands
I didn't see her running.
but was able to inspect the engine throughly.
All gears are working, easy to cranck, with plugs in good compression. belts ok. clutch ok. I removed valvecover to see inside the enging. Sofar is everything OK.

Who`s interested in switching the instrument panel on a Paso?
So, ST2 heads DO NOT FIT a 907. Period.

I think, very easy to find electrical tachos from internet shops.... Maybe much better quality also then....

The ST2 horizontal head still has the boss which holds the mechanical tachodrive.
So, with a little bit of machining it must possible to mount the orginal tachodrive.
The opposit is what antti suggested, to move to electrical tacho's.
on
http://www.wmd-instrumente.de/ you can find very nice combinations of Tacho and Spedo in one casing. Very nice, but expensive.
As I still are swap my ST2 engine in the 907, has anyone experience with a 907/ST2 converted to dual spark.
I done this trick on aircooled engines several times.

2 years ago i planned that to 907 heads, but remembering, that there is some water line just in place, where that another spark plug thread would be. 900ss engine dont have that water line, so it can be done to 900ss heads. One of my Ducati friend had such mod in very early 900 belt engine. I think, just same thing with ST heads, as 907 heads...

I can buy gauges, I can buy a new motor or even a new bike.
That`s not the point, this is:
Surely they fit very easily, no anykind troubles....
They don`t.
