The foam rubber surround is there just to close the gap between instrument panel and fairing.

Had a weird experience today.

I rode my Paso to work this morning (first time this year by the way). Suddenly I noticed that the clock on the dashboard was not a quarter till two, as it has been for the two years I´ve owned the bike.

OK, I thought. My brother went on a short ride on the bike yeasterday so maybe he´d turned the knob?

After a while I noticed that the clock was actually working, the pointers were in fact moving.

Now it seems to me that the clock only works while the engine is running, but I´ll have to check and make sure later.

Anyhow, pretty weird, huh?

Sounds like you need to take a pencil erased to the circuit board and give it a good clean.

Okay, after another day of riding my bike to work I´m now convinced that the clock on my dash has actually started working all of a sudden.

go figure?

no idea why it did but be happy.
On old Alfas like the one I had (´72) it was very common that the clocks stopped working. The parts were rare and as a consequence the prices were high. It seems one of the problems was dust or the grease gumming. I sprayed silicone grease in mine and it worked fine again until I sold it.

The one in the middle is the original dash- shock mount. The one in the righ is the one you get when you order @ ducati or stein-dinse with the correct part-#. It is the third part with wrong# from the catalogue now.
The one on the left another try to get the right one.

Anyone knows where to get some in germany?
