No end, yet. Been traveling, will try to give it one more shot (i.e. check clutch plates and slave cylinder) this weekend, hopefully.

Re: HELP! Rebuild of 1992 907ie clutch master cylinder
Hi All:
I am rebuilding my 1991 907ie clutch master cylinder. I ordered part 000047226. I received 110436252. I didn't notice the part number discrepancy, and I opened it and started to use the kit. The parts look absolutely identical to what should be in 000047226 and to what came out of my clutch master. When I looked at the included Brembo instructions, they show only a rear brake master cylinder. The part number is Brembo, not Ducati, and none of the Ducati sites list it for the rear brake or the clutch master.
What's the story here? The kit seems identical. I mic'd the piston and it is identical. The other parts are identical, including the boot, which has identical Brembo markings. Google's AI thinks the rear brake has a different cylinder diameter, 13mm. The clutch cylinder is 13mm.
TIA

I wouldnt get to hung up on brakes or clutches as the two cylinders are the same deal just the dia changes . The brembo kit will be for a certain model of cyl and the dia . Buy the kits off a Brembo dealer if you can , and if you need info you may also be better off searching for Brembo rather than Ducati , and be aware that heaps of manufacturers used Brembo gear so if it looks perfect but sez it fits a Laverda I wouldnt worry .

Yes, the kit appears identical, and the clutch and rear brake master cylinder bores are the same 13mm diameter. It surprised me that they are not cross-referenced as far as I could find.

Some parts numbers change for no effective reason .... like a different package for the same thing , or a different supplier
