regulator test

hi guys i buy two other two ignition boxes....so expensive but when they arrive to me,i am afraid to burn these another time... there is a way to check the regulator without starting the bike?
i remember a strange noise like a tick ,when i try to start,coming from the regulator.....
and do you know if elefant 350 have the same regulator of ours babies?

U can find regulator check chart from Hayness 750&900 Supersport book... Need on GOOD multimeter (and insulator(be carefull)tester...) :thumbup:

Send me aPPM with your email address and I will send you a chart I made up a few years ago with some readings. The trouble is that most parts have been changed and the readings will be different. It may help but mine is a 906 with a lot of parts changed.
