Fuelpump specifications (flowrate/pressure)

Post by ansim »

Does anyone know the specifications for the 750 fuelpump, the flowrate (cc/min or lbs/hr) and pressure (bar/psi)?

It's for my Megasquirt project, which is almost running now. Some settings for the injectors needs to be modified.
Want to be sure that the fuelpump is good enough.

If you are converting to fuel injection, then you will need to put in a fuel pump that was designed to work in a fuel injection system. The stock fuel pump was about 10-15 psi as I recall, and was too high for the Weber. A fuel pressure regulator set at 3psi was ideal.

A fuel injection system generally runs about 30-50 psi, or higher. Newer common rail injection systems on cars are in the 70-80 psi range.

You can easily find pumps from F.I. bikes on e-bay for cheap enough. You also want to make sure you have good hoses and clamps. Hose blow-out at those pressures is a mess.

Cheers.
