I have a FBF chip, I don't have a instruction sheet but it certainly looks like a simple straightfoward install.
Anything special or in particular that I need to look out for?
Any tips or suggestions for a "safe" install?
Thanks!!

Ground YOURSELF with some copper wire to bikes ground before installation to avoid any electrical chock to eprom(or to ECU)! Then make note, in what end of old EPROM is that "notch". Take it away carefully and then put new to same way(that notch). Be carefull to take old away with some modified screwdriver, etc. DONT SHORTCUT ANY pins of eprom with any tools!

FIM supplies such tool with new EPROMS to take eprom away, but if You follow my notes, its "same" as FIMs advices. I have changed about 20 Eproms to Ducatis and NEVER any problems....
Only need to be carefull and if dont know, what to do, then better leave it to some electrian, who have played with chips.... Btw, we have in our company Eprom "burning" machine and we have copied many eproms, but currently they fitted to FIM chips such copy protection chip, that they cant copied anymore with such equipments.

Any tips or suggestions for a "safe" install? [quote]
Some small things:
Did it today. Just be gentle, if you don`t have the special pliers for it. Main thing, DO NOT bend the legs of the chip and you`re good to go! I lifted the chip w a long, small screwdriver and a 1,5mm wire at the other end at the same time. Think of your body`s most delicate part and handle the chip w that in mind....
Adjusting CO and checking A/F ratio afterwards is a good thing to be safe.
