Re: Different mirrors
Unknown, I have noticed though at times that if i look in the mirror I see two different types of people, I drink I'll stave to hop thinking. I druv my lugs. Somethink to thing about. In Aussie land we have tiny stickers on mirrors stating "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR" which gives plenty of time to avoid rear end collisions, but it is a hell of a fright in the mean time! ..Stay focused ,..........Marty

if you mean the mirror assembly, really, there are 2 different kinds of mirrors, the stock kind and the "Freccia" kind.
The last one is sold at the Ducati dealers as Paso spare part, even if it fitted on the Cagiva Freccia, which had a fairing very similar to the Paso.
The main difference is on the fitting on the fairing: the stock one has a metal plate with 3 clips, while the "Freccia" kind has 3 screws.
We have talked very much about, so if you search in the forum you'll find very much topics.
If you mean the round mirror... really, I don't know.

Re: Different
Sorry, thought this subject was discussed with a no / go for the Freccia type, unless something else meant?.
I am only a poor, humble, but honest, Shift boss in a struggling underground gold mine operation . (Woe is me).
All I can afford to ride is the Magnificent Paso 907IE that other lesser beings pass by, much to their detriment,
Especially given the current gold price per ounce.,,,,,,,,,,
which has driven me to Struggletown.
Bugger......Marty

Re: Different mirrors
Seems like the FAR/Freccia kind is also smaller. The mirror frame does notThe main difference is on the fitting on the fairing
reach into the curved part of the fairing as the OEM does, it`s like 12-15mm shorter.
Doesn´t fit too well, either...
Thx f info.

Re: Different mirrors
Hi Guys,
I strongly believe there are to different types.
my 907/'91 has between the fairing and mirrorglass a kind of triangular shape which is a little bit lower than the other surface.
I bought on ebay a few mirrors, even in original Ducati packaging which are all flat in this area.
So, if someone needs a right hand mirror, I have spares in red and Yellow. and all brandnew. But still not satisfied. Allthough it's minor detail, I want both mirrors to be the same!!

Re: Different mirrors
Hi Gert,
I'll check tomorrow and let you know.
As writing the text yesterday I realised I didn't know exactly how the backside looks like.

Re: Different mirrors
The "freccia" ones have, in the side where they are fixed to the fairing, a black plastic plate with 3 screws.
The stock ones, have a triangular metal plate with 3 female clips on.
As soon as I find some image, I'll put here.
No matter, I'm sure that in this forum it has beed already told all you would like to know about.
Try searching.

Re: Different mirrors
Hi Gert,
I've checked both the mirrors I've bought.
Both have plastic plates as a mount.
So, those are "Freccia" mirrors.

Re: Different mirrors
Hello, I have an '87 paso 750, I laid it down on thaksgiving last year. I shattered my mirror, and splintered my fairing. I was able to find a decent fairing and a member on this site sold me a frechia mirror. The red is just a little deeper. You can't tell unless you know what your looking for, and I was a little skeptical to drill three holes in my new fairing, but, it really turned out fine. The differences between them are very insignificant. And to be honest, the frecchia mirror shakes less while riding. Original mirrors sell for a lot, while you can get the scooter mirrors for a reasonable price because they are still available. Happy riding.
