Eye Candy

Post by whitepaso »

I am posting these for the first time so I hope I get the links correct. Anyway, these photos are of my '88 Limited taken a few weeks ago. It is completely original except for the Corbin seat, Pro Italia bar risers and Dellorto carbs. Also has the larger diameter "offroad only" Silentium pipes from the factory. Hope you enjoy these:

Very, very nice bike both the outer looking and under the fairings.
Do you ride it or keep it still?

Hi All,

Thanks for your compliments; it's nice to know all my elbow grease was worth it. Here's my story on her: I've had this Paso since 1994 but in 2004 a fuel hose dry-rotted and sprang a leak. I was in the process of moving for a new job at the time and so I neglected to repair it right away. Once I was settled in my new home I had so much other stuff keeping me busy that I neglected to make the repair. What little time I had to ride was spent on my trusty old BMW. Well, time went by and when 2006 rolled around and I decided I either needed to fix it or part with it. So fix was the decision. When I took a long, hard look at her, she was so sad and dirty that I decided a complete go-through was needed. Well, that took another 2 years of off and on work (I have 3 children who keep me busy) and by the time I was done it was November 2008! Where does the time go? So these photos were taken when she had her official coming-out party! She runs great and is so much fun to ride. She was never a "garage queen" but after the time and money spent to get her looking like this, I think I'll take her out for joy rides on nice days only. I'll use the old BMW for the commuting instead.

I figured those Dellortos were just far too clean to have logged many (if any) miles. ;)
