New Colour Scheme Your thoughts folks

Post by englishstiv »

You may of noticed my little rebuild thread :banghead:
So I welcome your thoughts on this - now I know that many of you are purists when it comes to the Paso and I likewise really would like to keep things fairly straight forward but my thoughts are to have
1. A Gold Frame.
2. Red Body Panels.
3. Black wheels with Gold pipework around rim
4. Black front fork legs and steering yoke.

My old Monster had a gold frame and I must admit I rather did like it even if the body work was bright yellow.

I am going to get close matches to all colours and not Ducati spec as there are too many variations plus my Alfa needs a bit of tarting up so while the paint is in the can I will be doing that aswell.

Wadda yah think?

I'm not qualified to comment (my 996 is orange and has a red frame :dunno: ) but is the frame even visible once it's back together?

I appreciate the Paso frame is not as visible as on most which is why I reckon the "splash" of gold may not look out of place. I like the black Paso also but that is too much of a colour change for me. The gold I am after is the same as on the Brembo calipers.

as I generally don´t mind other frame colours on a bike I personally would stay with black on a Paso. That is because black makes it "disappear", it doesn`t interrupt the design seen from the side and it can`t be seen from the front either.
Terry`s is silver

I think, just as Gerhard thiks, frame must be black, NO ANY OTHER colour(if talking about Paso!), but when we comes to fairings, its totally different thing: You have to think, what colours fit very well together!!! Its main point! How she should look?..... Anyway my favourite is combination of red and some grey, is it "gunmetal", or another, but red and grey fits perfectly to each others and i have heard only very nice feedback from my red/metal grey colours... ..its in brains...
