Hello!
Greetings from Paris.
New and old owner of a 907ie: first at all forteen years ago, and now, with a 93's model, red, 49000 km, bought in Switzerland.
My previous bike was a 2006's 1000ss, light and sexy, but heavy for my wrists. The choice was : climb or ride, and I so much like mountaineering ! So I decided to come back to the most beautifull Paso, certain that the 907 would be able to wear my rusksack towards the Alps.
Everything perfectly works on this bike, except the coolant reservoir, and I can 't find one.
It will be difficult not to have a coolant reservoir during the summer !
If somebody have one or knows how to get it, he will be welcome !

Welcome from me, too.
About the reservoir, they say the Aprilia Pegaso's one fits very well....

Hi Tangri, congratulations on your purchase!
You will find this site a wealth of information from time to time.
It`s amazing how many people stop to look at the 907ie amongst all the other bikes when you go for a ride.
The 907 does everything well and it`s easier to hold onto your motorcycle licence.
I think it had become the forgotten beauty……………………
Any pictures of your 907?
What type of exhaust is it running and does the bike have any mod`s?

And remember: ride hard, take chances!

Hi old members,
Thank you for your welcome.
About my coolant reservoir, my mechanic tries to adapt a ST2's bottle. On my side, I ordered a used Pegaso coolant reservoir. Wait and see : weather is terrible at the moment in Paris.
My 907 is a 93's model, without any modification (the original exhaust is in a very good condition), except very strange warming handles... Not very usefull, in such a climatic modification... May be I'll plug something else instead of that exotic installation.
The side stand is an atomatic one, as it was current in Switzerland, Germany and Italy, and it's impossible to put the bike on it when you're on the saddle. But I think that a non automatic one is worst: on my first 907, I forgot to fold the side stand sometimes, and it was extremely dangerous. One time, a car driver pursued me on the Seine banks, beside the Louvre, just like in a film, to indicate me that my stand was unfolded ! An other day, it was a bus driver who saved me from a crash when he saw my stand...
I'll send a photo as soon as possible.

I also like the stands that folds up automatically.
I also started w the stand out a couple of times, dangerous.

Re: New member
I love only normal side stands, what have to put up with feet, as its 100% automatic in brains to do so EVERY time, i sit to bike... I hate also allkind "security systems", what dont allow bike running in side stand down, so i have made mods to wirings of my STs that i can heat up bike with side stand down... its in brains....

There is a thread in the 970 FAQ at the top of the page on coolant reservoir fixes.

Re: New member
All in all, I also prefer the Paso's style stand even if the modern ones (as my Honda Hornet had) switch off the bike when you put the first gear.
