16''Tires

Post by hardo »

Hi everyone

I think it is clear we all would like to get some 130 / 60 16 and 160 / 60 16 for our Pasos.

I read all the threads and I see that one can go for the Avon conversion (even so I find it not very convincing to do so).

What I did not get so far: Did anyone try to get an official answer from Michelin, that they are not going to produce the orginal tires any time in the future? If not I would try to get an official statement from the company.

Because I do not want to go vor the Avon conversion, I might give the bike away :,( .... not easy for me because I do like the 906 a lot).

Thanks for your answer.

Hi Hardo, I sent a message to Michelin France in May (2009):

And received this message:

So, for the english readers, there isn't a yes or no answer, just wait and see...

In the current metzler tires catalog

http://www.metzelermoto.de/de_DE/browse ... t_2009.pdf

I can find a 130/70 ZR 16 called Sportec M3 Front and a 160/70 VB 16 called ME 1 CompK

Did anyone dry this combination? Should be much easier to adjusted tham the Avon rear 180 / 60 - 16.
