What wheel package did you use? Looks like the stock swingarm.

Wheels are from a 600 ss with a 17 mm shaft, front and rear. It was not possible to use the old shaft, because of there are no bearings there will fit in the wheel Ø 40 mm with a 20 mm haft, so I used the ss 17 mm shaft and got made a pair of new excentrics

You'll need to raise the front mudguard 1/4"
No more than this or it will grind on the side panels!

An option would have been to machine the hub diameter of the rim from 40 to 42mm and use standard size Paso wheel bearings SKF #63004-2RS or to get a 907ies swingarm of course. Then you also wouldn`t have to modify the swingarm to add the pin that holds the brake caliper bracket.

Machining the hub I also thought of doing, but you need the holes to align neatly. I think this was the best solution by making new eccentrics. If you want to reuse the pin for the caliper bracket, you will have to make a new bracket. I just drilled a hole in the swing arm, inserted a metal tube and a bolt for the pin, and used a bracket from a ss.

Does it use a normal speed meter?
I got new 17 " shoes converted from 400SS to my paso750 recently.
http://ameblo.jp/ducati750/entry-10353122117.html
But I have a problem with speed meter. A large margin of error came to occur as 100km/h indication at the time of 80km/h.
The speed meter is for normal 750paso. The speed meter gear is for 17 " 400SS(I think it's same one as 600SS).
How did you do it?

The speed gear has a ratiio marked on the external surface: same box for different ratios. If you search in the site, you'll find a rumor about Aprilia 125 RS application.

so, how would you describe the difference between the 16" and the 17"? Is low speed better, or worse? Is it different at high speeds? How is it in corners compared to what you had before? Besides the obvious fact that you now have brand new stick tires.
Cheers,
Phil

Nilaus, can you make some new mail with links and all details about Your 17" conversion, as here are many guys, who are intrested of such.... I visited your web page and there was good drawing about rear axle adjuster, but unfortunately my printer didnt show so clearly those measurements(mm) Very good job from You!
What You think about front braking now? I changed to 4 piston Brembos in my 750 Paso and it was amazing that difference to old 2 piston system, ....never back to 2 piston calipers anymore!....

Have You drawing about adapters? How about front axle? Bearings? Chain line(offfset)? any problems? all is welcome surely...

At first, I felt that the rudder response became slow. It can be expressed "stable" and "normal without the characteristic particularly".
I think it came to be suitable more as grand touring bike.
On the other hand, the quick reaction that make impression of 16" at the low speed has been lost.
I felt it "not enough" because I ride paso750 as sport bike. So, I regained it by a setting change of suspension(reduce caster angle).
