Paso 750, 900, Sport etc. New Clutch Slave Piston Assy ebay

Post by v2barn »

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ducati-F1-Sport-P ... 3a5670ecd3

The above link should take you to a ebay UK listing for a Clutch slave piston assembly including piston, seal and bearing suitable for all the bikes on this forum, i have bought one already for my 906 and the German seller seems v. helpful. He states he has moreto sell. His price is approxomately half what a well known supplier in the UK wanted for the same assembly of parts.
Hope this helps someone else

note that info isn`t correct and the seller knows it.
That slave piston is for the F1 only. Although the clutch covers look the same from the outside, the F1 has the groove for the O-ring in the cylinder. For all other bikes Paso, Sport, Cagiva Elefant etc it`s vice versa. These bikes have the seal on the piston. Meaning you can use that slave piston on a Paso, Sport etc only if you replace the complete cover with the other one which is about impossible to find.
Most importantly this piston is 27,95mm in diameter, the one of the Paso, Sport is 26mm!

After all checking the FAQ you`ll see that you can replace the slave piston with one that will cost only €25-30. If you then buy the mushroom pin and the bearing additionally you`ll still be below the price of this ebay auction and it will fit your clutch cover.

the intention was good
I`d ask my money back. In general first measure and check the FAQs and the search function if you`re not sure.
Similar thing happened to me many years back. I bought a new clutch cover for exactly this piston not knowing there were different ones. I then sold it again as that time I couldn`t find a matching slave piston for a reasonable price.

Hello G, i have been back to the seller and the good news is that he says he will give me a full refund once i return the 28mm piston assy, the even better news is he also has some 26 mm pistons with the seal in a groove in the piston, so i have suggested he just sends me one of those instead, so not a complete disaster but it does hold up the 906 'refresh' Jon
