I see your point. Where the 906 is brutish and rough around the edges the 907 is smooth and sophisticated

Nice purchase.
About the seat, you could replace only the skin.
Cheap an effective.

Rumor has it this was one of Pierre Terblanche's first projects at Ducati. One of his better designs.
Is that the stock front fender, or has that been reshaped a bit? I have an 851 front fender on my Sport, and I always thought that they were the same, but now I'm not so sure.

Cheers,

It is bone stock in its present configuration, mods are coming in the next couple of weeks. So far I have the staintunes, but that is all he has found at the moment. The original owner is moving in the next couple of weeks and will ship the rest to me when he runs across it.

What did he do?
Paso 750 is a genuine Tamburini creation.

He took the Paso and made it the 907ie, didn't he ? Sort of salvaging the wreckage and pointing the way to the new era of ducks. 907ie,ST 2, 3 and 4 ? All you history of the duke fans feel free to speak up here

Yes, the 750 was Tamburini. The re-do that is the 907 ie, is Terblanche. You can thank him for the opaque screen with the naca vent, the white wheels, and the gold calipers and brake centers. I don't know how much of the technical things we was involved with, such as fuel injection, 17" wheels and big brakes. I think those just came with the times.

ducinthebay , can You show some evidences how Terblance was connected to Paso's? I know well, that Massimo Bordi was connected just that time to make more power, like 4 valvers and NEW Marelli fuel injection for 851/888/907IE for Ducati, but Terblance connection to Paso's???? If You find something about this thing, let us know... Anyway Terblance wasnt so good choise for factory. I heard, that factory "kicked him away" later(but i am not sure). Massimo Bordi "gave" to factory MUCH more.... Also for me, Massimo Bordi was more important person if thinking 907IE with its very good injection. Those 17" wheels, etc. things was very easy to do to make Paso to be "real bike" for markets, but unfortunately customers wanted another things in that moment :,( Unfortunately Paso series bikes lifetime was very short compared to some others, like SS, Monster, ST series, etc.. Paso's were only low sell bikes (for factory) and also all us here have to accept it....

YES , Antti , I beleive that Bordi was the chief engineer ( ing ) for ducati , and was the one who made the 851 bottom end which we paso isti ( 906,07 ) know so well.I believe that Bordi was very good for ducati so much so that I put my money where my mouth is ( yeah , it was expensive  ),

Oy , whats going on here Higgy :D ," salvaging the wreakage " & " pointing the way...Bla bla bla 907 " :?:  sounds to me like your already looking down on us 906 & 750 owners :P  ( I dont like the 750's either ...shhh ) They only made 907's when they started to run out of real Paso parts , more of a death wriggle than pointing the way. :P
