Something you don't see everyday and a real head turner.

Good chance to pick up a great little Italian classic here, This 1990 model 750 Paso has been stored for approx 12 years. It has had the battery removed and the oil and fuel drained as this was required for transportation when I moved from interstate recently (I was going to put it back on the road but I have 3 other projects going and this one just has to go). apart from that I put some air in the tyres and they are still up! I have hooked a spare battery up to check the electrics, and all works as they should from headlight, to dash lights, indicators, clock, brake lights and the horn. other than this all I can say is it was running ok when it went into storage. The R/H front indicator fairing is missing as you can see in the pics, this is minor and I have seen a few come up on ebay in the states at a reasonable price (around $20AUD) have meant to get one a few times but alas just never got around to it

The condition is fair but some TLC would go along way to bringing her back to glory including an o'haul of the brakes, forks etc. (btw the brakes still work after all this time!) and I would definately put a webber carb kit through after a good carb clean out (these kits are also available on Ebay for around $30) and a check of the valve clearances. there are no leaks from anywhere including the fork seals but like I said new oil and seals would be pertinent, as would new tyres, pretty sure these ones will be very hard.

There is some surface corrosion on the shiny part of the wheels and in a few other places but nothing too alarming, pretty much what you would expect of a long term stored bike.

The exhaust system is aftermarket stainless, I am not sure of the brand, I recall it had a very deep fruity sound from idle all the way through though. Apart from the exhaust this bike is completely standard and un modified including the standard Ohlins rear shock. There are no nasty wiring jobs or ugly add ons for this one.

It would need tyres :banghead: , the can looked like a Staintune  some$$$$ to get going!!

Looked neat and tidy in the pics......

cheers
Nigel
