stupid question mounting front tire

Post by Fast Eddie »

I put a new front tire on and of course I forgot the sequence of the spacers while putting the axle back in. Does anyone have a photo and explain?

Disregard. The spacer was actually for the rear tire next to the sprocket. Thank God I figured that out, could of been ugly. Yes, I'm mechanically handicapped.

Yep. ;)

But you are trying & finding out,

Best way of learning IMHO.

it can`t be repeated often enough, so be sure the rear wheel spacer is mounted the correct way. Wider side towards the swingarm, narrow side towards the wheel bearing. The other way round will ruin your swingarm.

...I always do my attempts with some skilled friend.
Since, I'm handicapped too, I'm too scared to do huge faults.
And I (try) to take care of myself...
