A few questions to a wheel change 16->17

Dear sirs.

I decided to make a wheel conversion on my PASO 750 Bj 1987.

Does a ducati monster 600 (Bj 1992-around 1998) wheel fits.
I want
FRONT: 120/60 on a 3,5x17 wheel 17mm axle
REAR: 160/60 on a 4,5x17 wheel 17mm axle

Whats about the breaks. Should I use the monster-brakes or my old ones. Do I need a lot of adapters to make it fitting or is it to make very simple. Do I have enough place for the rear wheel?

Maybe somebody has a lot of experiences. Maybe somebody can send some information. I tried already some other tyres, but I was never happy with this. In this moment I use my last Michelin ... then ... ?????

There are a lot of information on this forum, but also I read a lot of nebulose informations.

Mario, I am going thru this conversion at the moment , and I have all the parts I think I need. I have reached the point where I have to get some machining done ( nothing major ). As soon as it warms up a bit I will take some pix and write a story. Basically it a piece of cake. I have ( sort of ) decided to lengthen my 906 swing arm a bit too , rather than fit a 907 swingarm

The rear wheel will fit although you`ll have to turn the swingarm excenters to the rear. A 5.5" rim with a 170/60-17 would fit too even though it will become tight in the swingarm.
Use the Monster calipers and with them the matching brake pump not the one from the Paso.

I bought already the monster calipers and now I am looking for wheels. ...
I think the old DUC monster wheels (1992-1998) will fit.

Thank you for the "box..." I know this already and I will try to make it, like in this discription. But there he said he uses the paso brake-pump? Whats bad with this?

It`s the ratio of piston diameter of the calipers and piston diameter in the brake pump. There was an overview posted here some time ago.
Bigger brake caliper pistons require more pressure than smaller ones. Therefore the original P08 calipers are combined with a smaller pump.
The ones of a P4 30/34C are smaller than the ones from a P08 (38mm). If you combine the original pump with the new calipers you´ll get a more aggressive response. Using a PS16 brake pump is better. This will require more handpressure but this is what will give you a better feeling/control of the brakes.
