Coolant Hoses for 907ie - Preorder

Post by desmo times »

I recently added a 907ie to my collection and am going to have coolant hoses made for that model. I have to have a small production run of 25 sets made to justify the cost of the $750 prototype charge. Cost for a set will be approximately $200 and will include stainless lined hose clamps. As you know, Samco doesn't make a set for the 907ie and their kits cost @ $300/set without hose clamps. You can have any color you want as long as it's red. If interested, email me offline at lt @ desmotimes.com . If the admins here view this as spam, they can delete it, but it isn't like I'm out to make a buck on this. I did the same thing for my ST4S. It takes 3-4 months to get from my mailing my old hoses to getting the 25 sets in my hands.

Congrats on your new bike LT, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. :)
However, the possibility of a set of silicone hoses gives me food for thought. My long term aim has been to replace the radiator with one from an ST and rearrange the plumbing to enable the top hose to connect on the left instead of the right. I could retain the original header tank but it would no longer be pressurised. There may be some issues with clearance at the fairing and the fan may need relocating but I think it would be possible.
I might go for the hoses anyway.
