PASO and SPORT Cables...PLEASE LOOK>>> FUTURE REPLACEMENT.

Post by englishstiv »

Hi folks

Some of you will remember my little enterprise with the Mirrors.

As you will see in further posts below you may not require this so please check your local suppliers and prices first

As some of us are now looking to replace another key feature of our bike that is becoming ever harder to find at a competitive and reasonable cost.

I am now looking at sourcing some cable replacements.

This is the company that I am looking to deal with.

http://www.carrotcycles.co.uk/custom-ma ... fo_10.html

Cost would be in the region of about £25.00 (25 English pounds) and hopefully under £30.00 for each cable although this will need to be confirmed after numbers and totals are confirmed. I would prefer to make up a full set for each bike in one sale value (all cables)

I have seen their products and also heard about them by recommendation which is why I chose them.

As with the mirrors I just want to cover my costs including any postage and phone call fees involved I am not looking to start a business it's just a way of sourcing some much needed parts at a discount. So it will be at cost plus postage rounded up to the nearest pound. I will use paypal for international orders as this is easiest for conversion

The beauty then after this is they will have a pattern and you and other owners can use them to get individual items as and when required.

So the question is are you interested?

Are you in the UK with a sample to use for a Pattern? (I only have the 907ie to go by)? All will be returned safe and sound.

Are you prepared to pay for a full set for your bike or just the individual item only.? Payment must be made before order made and sent.

Please place your name and requirements and country of origin on this thread as pasted list like so as it's easier to keep track of numbers this end and also email me as well with your requirements please include a direct email contact address other than the paso pm site if possible.

I have only given a estimated top end price as I have no idea at present as to the discount that will be given dependent on numbers and I have tried to anticipate part of any postal cost involved.

Believe me I am more than happy if we have found another supplier and a cheaper one then this post has helped everyone just with that knowledge , however I am trying to source one shipment of all cables in one go for each model involved.

If there is not enough interest in one specific model then it will not be ordered/made.

If no one is interested it is not an issue.

I will not be troubled in any way if no one is interested.

Of course the other option is you'll know that I have had my 907ie ones sorted by them so you can purchase them singularly yourselves at cost
BTW - any chance to get more mirrors? How much were they

Prices varied due to postal costs and exchange rate variations I actually had a few people let me down on their payments so I sold their sets to make up my financial shortfall via ebay...

Read this thread fully re the cost at the time (£36.00 per unit) http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic. ... 94&start=0

With regards to the mirrors I would happily deal with again however I will need at least a confirmed 25 owners plus requiring both mirrors before I am even willing to contact the company and order as that is their minimum offer to me. (25 x left and 25 x right 50 in total.) :banghead:

Obviously everyone appreciates the research, but on a cursory search
it seems that for the moment they're still available.

BTW, how long do they generally last?

Let me read that thread about the mirrors again and I'll let you know.

For the Paso 907ie sadly not in the UK at least at a decent price for a full set hence my post. I need them for my rebuild as the present ones are a looking tired and have lost their flexibility if others have the same issue then why not help others at the same time?

Gerhard if you are reading this then maybe you are right?
