Hi Paso750,

why is it important to know the exact weight?
I would say you're pretty right about 1.8 kg.
it can be lightened fairly easy to 1.25 kg by turned out excesive material and drilling.

there are a couple of machined flywheels on ebay one weighs 1043gr the other 1423gr, I might go for the lighter option, just wondering what the original weight was.
Bertus, what does your f/w weigh and and apart from the positive, do you notice any negative behaviour at low revs?
Cheers Claude.

The standard flywheel on all the fuel injected bikes ( 2V and 4V ) weighs approximately 1900 g

higgy, I know where that quote comes from but it`s not entirely right. If you look at the whole fuel injected Ducati model range there`re differences depending on model years. Even if it`s the same bike and year there can still be a weight difference depending on if it`s an S/SP/SPS/R/EVO ect model. That`s why I was asking.

Hi Pasonut,

the flywheel is 868 gr. and the sprague ring is 496 gr. making a total of 1364.
have not drivin' it yet on the Paso. the Mike Hailwood, I've been riding without a flywheel.
the whole engine is more livelly, spins faster. it would still Idle and driveble from ± 2500 rpm.
I guess the Paso will behave the same. so tinkering around town is not worse than before.

no they don`t and no the flywheel is not the same on the 906. (but you could still put it on the scale higgy, thanks)
The 907ie flywheel is interchangeable with the ones of the Ducati 851/888, 916S 1994, 916 SP 94-96 and 916 SPS til 98, Cagiva Elefant 900ie (so the models with Marelli P7 or P8 ignition). The S/P/S flywheels were lighter. The flywheel has 4 triggers.

The flywheel of a 916, ST, etc is different due to the 1.6M computers. Flywheels of newer Ducs are again different.
The flywheel of a carbed (old) Duc (w/ Kokusan ignition) looks like this

I`ve just found a parts list pdf from a Ducati shop and it lists 25 (!) different part numbers for flywheels (over all models though) and 16 for flywheel flanges and that may not even be all that exists.
