I got a Quote of $750.00 + shipping for a dual Dellorto kit to convert my Paso over from the Webber. $750.00 included carbs, airbox, manifolds and cables..
Is this a decent price or does anyone know where I can get the lit cheaper ?
Thanks
Jeff Gibson

Jeff - That's about what I paid for my Malossi kit (carbs, cabling, filters, intakes) about 15 years ago... including installation. The Dell Ortos were a sure-fire fix, and the hiccupping and other BS from the Weber vanished. Keep in mind everything goes up as time passes... particularly for a long-since out of production machine like the Paso.

What I've been reading lately is that most of the problems with the Weber carb are traced to too high of fuel pressure from the fuel pump, and that a regulator and some jetting changes make this carb work well. Something to consider?
I haven't paid much attention to this, though, as my bike came with the Dellorto's and malossis on it. PHF 36, two separate carbs with pod air filters. They do run well, require almost no choke to start when cold, and are a bitch to synchronize! (and fall out of synch if you look at them crosseyed)
And of course, the cable splitter is always a problem. I tried a bunch (snowmobile cables, mostly) before stumbling on the one that Tom Fournier sells at Dunbar Euro Sports, in Brockton, MA 508 583 4380. (One of the few Duc dealers that can figure out Paso parts). I bought one of these splitters 10 years ago for my 900, and broke the little plastic insert first time to full throttle. Fast forward to the new setup on the Paso, It came with the same splitter; first time I give it full throttle, SNAP! Broke that one too. On the 900 I machined an aluminum insert, way too many hours, but still works well 10 years later.

Well, that's interesting. I hadn't given any thought to a dual-pull throttle. Never even seen one, actually!
I've always used the 916 style throttle, which I like because of the high-idle button. Makes warming up bikes without a choke much easier.
Can you post a part # and source for a dual-pull throttle?

I bought from Italy "Tomaselli" dual cable system, when i converted my 750 Paso to Dellortos. I think, Lacuna Seca,Santa Monica, F1, etc. have same kind system
One possibility is to try find such Ducati original system and adopt to Paso.

BTW - I have no idea why Bevel Heaven is twice the price of the others... I'm assuming it's the same part, but I could be wrong...

Dellorto PHF 32 carbs ending at 10 pm on Sunday: $88 bucks currently. They're a little small, but if they'll run an 860 they should be ok on a 750 Paso...
