Clock solution???
Clock solution???
I have been told, but how reliable the info' is I don't know! that the internals from a Fiat Panda 4X4 (sqaure shape not the new one) is a perfect repair for a Paso clock. Could this be true ![Surprised ](./images/smilies/icon_surprised.gif)

Re: Clock solution???
the information is slightly dubious, as the clock from the 4x4 panda is identical to all the other pre2003 pandas... time piece and console.f1steveuk wrote:I have been told, but how reliable the info' is I don't know! that the internals from a Fiat Panda 4X4 (sqaure shape not the new one) is a perfect repair for a Paso clock. Clock solution???
I removed the original clock and placed a battery operated clock inside the instrument box with wires out to a 1.5v battery. Lasts for months before I have to change the battery. I had to cut down the new clock for fitment but at least I have a second hand now.

Re: Clock solution???
Old thread I know, but if you didn't know already the clock from a Fiat Uno (common in Europe)has the same Circuit board ,I've repaired 2 or 3 this way in the past.

Re: Clock solution???
With mine and I suspect with others it goes like this....Finnpaso wrote:btw, what is problem in Paso clock, as all mine works still well ???? I maean, is it plastic sprockets inside clock? or circuit board?, components? what?
Battery is low and bike only just starts, go for ride to charge battery,
while riding the battery light comes on,
pull over and discover this is because main fuse has melted !!,
fix fuse and notice clock has now stopped working,
Strip clock and find resistor has fried !!!
Basically make sure the main fuse holder is a good quality design, keep it clean and don't ride your bike if the battery is almost flat, charge it first !!

Re: Clock solution???
Very strange... I would suspect that if that resistor blows from clock, it cant burn main fuse, but surely it can burn that circuit fuse where clock is.... But i dont have 906, so i dont know how fuses are in that bike. Another quess is, that if there are some charge problems, there can be then overvoltages in some circuits and it can burn that resistor from clock.... ![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
Noticed just, that 750 Paso dont have "main fuse" (3 different fuses surely!), like 906 (40A), 907IE (30A), ST series (30-40A), etc have and i think, "main fuse" is just that between regulator and battery + terminal.
EDIT: Propably You think, that main fuse is that biggest 15A fuse in 750 Paso between battery and key lock(ignition switch)? Ok, in 750 Paso we can call it " main fuse"![;) ;)](./images/smilies/wink.gif)

Re: Clock solution???
mine was knackered when I got the bike so I fitted an oil pressure gauge instead .As some one had already spilt brake fluid on the lens I made a new one so that got rid of the clock knob hole
I wish I was young again............Id be heaps smarter than last time
